I spent some money on energy on Friday and got some back for saving it. I fueled up the go-go Jetta TDI today after another 505 miles. I put in 13.5 gallons at $2.89 a gallon (not a bargain - but I didn't plan ahead and find the cheapest diesel in the area). So, that is about 37 MPG or $0.07 cents per mile for fuel on a mix of mostly city and some highway driving. Not bad.
I also sent in my DMME rebate forms. I've got $750 coming back to me from the Commonwealth for an energy audit, high-efficiency water heater and programmable thermostat. Again, not bad.
